Our core business is manufacturing concrete precast rib and block slabs.
Reinforcing from 1Y10 to 3Y16 gets cast accordingly, depending on the lattice beam spans. PJ Projects can manufacture ribs of up to 13m long. The engineer will approve all casted ribs/lattice beams.
The lattice girder forms a substantial key with the concrete topping. The reinforcing steel supports the rib’s unique shape to suit the loading.
Our design has revolutionized the manufacturing of reinforced concrete precast rib and block slabs.
Our concrete rib and block slab material is manufactured to obtain the highest quality products available in the market today.
They have a unique design and are perfect for self-installation. The picture shows an example of our concrete rib and block slab (150mm x 50mm).
What is a lattice slab?
A lattice girder slab (LGS) is a precast composite slab that serves as an alternative to conventional in-situ slabs.
Precast lattice is exceptionally resistant to impact, corrosion, weathering, and abrasion, and low water-cement ratios ensure a dense, exceptional durable finish.
Is precast concrete stronger?
Precast concrete is often stronger than cast-in-place concrete. Not only are precast concrete products already reinforced with steel rebar, but the controlled curing process also ensures that the concrete will be set correctly under ideal conditions for maximized strength.
Are lattice structures strong?
Lattice structures are a versatile tool for engineers for several reasons. Lattice structures help make parts lighter and stronger. They can also help reduce part volume, which leads to fewer surface defects and prevents excessive stress build-up.
Are concrete precast rib and block slabs more cost-effective than in-situ slabs?
Yes, without a doubt, because precast concrete uses standard forms which improves the economies of scale.
Precast concrete is factory-made and standardized and there is fixed pricing, which enables you to budget accurately on your construction costs and avoid going over budget.
Precast concrete manufacturing occurs in controlled conditions, producing less waste, leading to better resource use and lower emissions. Site-cast concrete can adversely impact the environment and increase carbon emissions if workers do not correctly manage on-site energy and water use.
The manufacture of precast concrete can maintain ideal conditions and exact measurements throughout the process. With site casting, you are at the mercy of fluctuating humidity and temperatures. The result is an inferior product even under the most ideal conditions.
Our standard procedure includes verification of measurements when your building has reached window level, thus ensuring that you will be supplied with the correct material for your slab.
Precast concrete’s precision reduces material waste. To accomplish this on-site is much harder, as concrete preparation’s labour inefficiency motivates contractors to mix more concrete than needed, just in case. Concrete is also a recyclable material, meaning you can build green efficiency into your precast concrete construction materials.
Submit your engineer plans, sketch, or list of materials to our offices, do not delay until you are ready for the slab to ensure there is enough time to verify your measurements, obtain engineer approvals, and manufacture our high-quality product for your project.
